Dirk Vis and Edgar Walthert will bring us on bike to Vliegenbos in Amsterdam Noord, to a little-known sculpture garden, where some of the ingredients used in their moonshine absinthe grow in the wild. They will talk about absinthe production, the process of running a kitchen top absinthe distillery, and a three day pilgrimage to the birth region of absinthe in Switzerland, where they learnt techniques and recipes from local distillers, and met the green fairy. There will be the possibility to taste and bring home a bottle of their latest batch (bring cash!).
FRUIT BASKET is a monthly night of presentations on a slew of different subjects. Each edition features three guests exploring topics of their own choosing—the only rule is that the matters brought to the stage are ones they’ve immersed themselves in outside of work hours.
FRUIT BASKET (BREAD & BUTTER) is a recurring series within Fruit basket, held roughly three times a year, that shines a light on different forms of work, inviting both seasoned and emerging practitioners to share their experiences.
